10 seeds are run through a scarifier for a light scuffing & then soaked overnight in a weak solution of pure water & 3% peroxide (4:1-5:1 ratio)

Seed Soak
Seeds popped
All 10 seeds popped and have been transferred to rockwool plugs. The potential breeding partners all popped as well:
~Chitral Purple Apricot (10/10)
~Pakistan Chitral Kush (10/10)
~Malawi x PCK (1/1)
Healthy Sprouts
The sprouts look great, and they are all full of vigor - I was worried that these landrace seeds would require a little more finesse to get going but they were ready to go right out the gate. I did assist with the complete removal of the shells as the leaves were starting to push out, but just a few. I will be transferring them to either rockwool or coco within the next day or two.

Wide Leaf Comparison
Both Pakistan varieties exhibiting a broad leaf structure, with the PCK having a very wide center leaf blade 🧑🌾🤙
Around a 12"+ tall
Both strains are filling out the canopy nicely, and both have thick stalks. There is a thin leaf pheno among the Chitral Purple Apricot varieties, meanwhile the PCK mostly retains her wide center leaf formation.
Waiting for flowering
The flowering trays are full for a week or two so the Chitrals are being prepared for the transition. The CPA is growing taller, with larger leaves but narrower leaflets. The PCK by comparison is very compact; not much lateral branching but with very thick stalks. The lower sets of nodes & leaves were removed from both strains, and some of the CPAs were topped to keep the canopy fairly even. The CPA and the PCK will have their own trays for flower so canopy height & nutrient mixes will be adjusted independently for each strain.
