Skunk Special (1990)

Seeds were taken from cold storage & gradually allowed to come to room temp. They were then lightly scuffed with a homemade scarifier jar. Seeds are then placed in a jar overnight to soak in diluted H2O2 solution.

Seedlings have been transferred between two wet paper towels & two plates.

Only 2/5 seeds popped, and only 1/2 survived the sprout stage. She had a lot of overall vigor though relative to other sprouts in general, so that's a good sign 🤙

There are supposedly 2 dominant phenos; purple (Mexican) and green (Colombian), with few Afghan traits coming through. I don't like relying on only 1 specimen but if she is sativa-dominant as claimed then she could still be a keeper 💎

Only 2/5 have sprouted so far, and 1/2 of those is struggling to emerge. Not great, but the one that is growing is thriving 🧑‍🌾

One sprout has been thriving since it was soaked as a seed, which implies that she is a healthy one and full of vigor.

While the germination rate was poor, this lovely sproutling I've dubbed "lone survivor" is still going strong 💪
